The Great Salt Plains State Park
The Great Salt Plains State Park is located approximately 30 miles east of Alva off of state highway 11. The camping, fishing, hiking, and bird watching cannot be beat in the entire region. The park is adjacent to the Great Salt Plains National Wildlife Refuge which offers the best birding in the continental United States for non-coastal regions.
